About Our Nursery

There are many opportunities for outdoor learning at Macaulay that enables us to deliver the Early Years curriculum in creative ways.

The children are involved with growing fruit and vegetables that they can use in their weekly cookery sessions, they learn French through songs and games with our French teacher, Madame Sally, join the older children for performances and events and make local trips to places such as the Omnibus Theatre.

All activities are designed to allow the children to develop and learn through the EYFS areas of learning:

  • Personal, Social and Emotional Development
  • Communication and Language
  • Physical Development
  • Literacy
  • Mathematics
  • Understanding the World
  • Expressive Arts and Design
